Adopt A Pit Bull

"Where there is compassion and understanding, there is action. Where there is action, there is hope."

New Hope Pit Bull Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, foster home based organization located in Goose Creek (Charleston), South Carolina. NHPBR was founded by Alicia Domina and Kat Riley, who together have more than twenty years of experience with the "bully" breeds. We have a wonderful group of volunteers who are dedicated to rehabilitating and re-homing unwanted, stray and abandoned Pit Bull type dogs (including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier).

New Hope Pit Bull Rescue is a singular entity and should not be confused with South Carolina Pit Bull Rescue and Noble Ones Bully Breed Rescue. Click here to learn more about our organization!

Our friend and breed expert, Mary L. Harwelik CPDT-KA of The REAL Pit Bull, Inc., recently made a guest appearance on a popular radio show called "Thursday In the Doghouse". Check out her interview and what she has to say about the breed we all love (or may just want to know more about) the American Pit Bull Terrier. Great job Mary! We are so proud to have the privilege of calling you our friend.

In Memory of Fay

Photobucket

Fay, the beautiful girl with Mutts N Stuff passed away Monday afternoon, December 28, 2009 after her second surgery to give her the lips that the dog fighters took from her. Ultimately, the dog fighters still killed her as her body suffered more damage than could be seen. It was the dog fighters that made her body unable to recover from the surgery, even when everything was perfect before hand.

Fay, although gone today, will always live on in the hearts of the people she met and the minds she changed. She epitomized the love a pit bull has for their people and had the courage and spirit to take in all the new things life was handing her in stride. Read More on Our Blog

We ask that if Fay has touched your heart even half as much as she has touched ours, please consider making a contribution to Mutts N Stuff in Fay's memory for Fay's Phoenix house, a sort of halfway home for victims of dog fighting, just like Fay.

There are still dogs in Missouri who need our help, and we need foster homes for them as well as dogs in our own area. Please check our waiting list and if you can open your heart to a Pit Bull in need, apply to become a foster home.
